Georgian and Chechen alpinists climbed up Kazbek

In August 17, 2009 alpinists climbed up Kazbek – the highest peak of the Eastern Caucasus (5033 m). Together with Georgian climbers, amateur alpinists from Republic of Chechnya invited by the "Fund of Caucasus" took part in the climb.

As a sign of friendship between the Georgian and Chechen peoples, participants of the expedition raised national flags of Georgia and Chechnya on the peak.
